Jamie Foxx Apologizes to the Jewish Community

After recovering from a medical complication on the set of an upcoming movie, Jamie Foxx is gradually returning to the public eye. He directly addressed his fans, expressing gratitude for their support amidst rumors about his health. While being active on social media again, one of his recent posts sparked controversy as it was interpreted as antisemitic.

Foxx promptly returned to social media to apologize and clarify his remarks. On Instagram, the 55-year-old actor shared a now-deleted message that read, “They killed this dude named Jesus … What do you think they’ll do to you???!” along with the hashtags #fakefriends and #fakelove.

This statement led some users to believe he was negatively referring to individuals of the Jewish faith. However, Foxx explained that he meant no harm and was referring to a fake friend who betrayed him. He emphasized that he loves and supports everyone, including the Jewish community, and sincerely apologized to those offended.

After the misunderstanding, the comments section was filled with people extending grace to Foxx. Actor David Krumholtz and others expressed that they understood the sentiment Foxx was trying to convey in his initial post.
