Gregg Swedberg Transitions After 34 Years at iHeartMedia

iHeartMedia has announced that Rich Davis has been named Senior Vice President of Programming for the Minneapolis market and Program Director of KEEY FM, effective immediately.

Davis steps into the role following Gregg Swedberg, who transitions into a strategic advisor role after 34 years at K102 and iHeartMedia Minneapolis. Swedberg will now focus on iHeart Country projects, assisting with the transition and continuing to support the iHeart Minneapolis team.

Davis, who has been the Program Director of KDWB since 2016, brings extensive experience from his prior roles in iHeartMedia’s Seattle and Nashville markets. Reflecting on his new role, Davis expressed excitement and respect for the legacy of Swedberg, noting, “When I first got to KDWB in 1997 I never dreamed I’d one day get the chance to take over for the legendary Gregg Swedberg.”

Swedberg, who has been a staple of iHeartMedia Minneapolis, shared his optimism for Davis’s success, saying, “I can’t wait for Nashville to embrace Rich, which I know they will. The iHeart Minneapolis team will just keep on winning.”

iHeartMedia remains the leading media outlet in the Minneapolis market, with multiple platforms including broadcast stations, live events, and digital services like iHeartRadio, which is accessible across over 500 platforms and 2,000 devices, from smartphones to smart speakers.
