The Breakfast Club discussed the story of a Memphis woman who stabbed her husband to death because he disapproved of her coffee. Charlamagne Tha God said the woman got into a fatal argument with her spouse over the beverage’s taste.
According to Fox 13, Sheila Downey has been charged with murder over the death of her husband, Memphis police said. The woman allegedly stabbed her husband to death at their Wrenwood street home.
During the fight, Downey became angry and tried to drink bleach. Her husband stopped her. Reportedly, she then grabbed a knife and stabbed her husband multiple times. Before the victim died, he told police that he got into an argument over the taste of his coffee.
Initially, Downey drove away from the horrific scene, but later returned and was arrested.
Charlamagne Tha God said the wife probably tried to drink the bleach because she wanted to kill herself. When that didn’t happen, she was pushed to kill her husband.
“When you get to the point when you kill someone over a cup of coffee, you’ve reached your tipping point in life with a person a long time ago,” said Charlamagne Tha God.
The wife was in mental anguish, he said. Investing in mental wealth is essential.
“You’re body is your temple. Your body is your house, and if you don’t deal with what’s in your mental-will house, you can possibly end up killing someone,” said Charlamagne Tha God.
