Composer Anirudh Ravichander has launched his own audio label, Albuquerque Records, which is named after his recording studio inspired by the television series Breaking Bad. This initiative marks a significant milestone in his career, aiming to create a platform for both original soundtracks and works from emerging artists.
Albuquerque Records plans to publish music from Anirudh’s film projects as well as independent releases, thereby enhancing the creative landscape of the regional pop music scene. The label’s mission is to bridge the divide between mainstream film compositions and independent music, providing a dedicated space for a wide range of musical styles and voices.

Leading the label is B Kaushik, who brings over 15 years of experience in the music industry, including a role as Head of non-film music (POP) at Sony Music India South. Anirudh has expressed confidence in Kaushik’s leadership, citing their longstanding professional relationship.
Albuquerque Records is set to release original soundtracks from several anticipated film projects, including works associated with high-profile names such as Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, and Vijay, among others. This venture aims to establish a robust catalog that promotes original voices and contributes to the evolution of regional pop culture.
