Hannah Karp Named EVP Chief Communications Officer

Warner Music Group (NASDAQ: WMG) has announced the appointment of Hannah Karp as EVP & Chief Communications Officer, effective January 26, 2026. Karp, a former Editor-in-Chief at Billboard, will join the executive leadership team and report directly to CEO Robert Kyncl. Based in New York, she will lead the company�s global communications and brand marketing strategies, managing both internal and external messaging, as well as overseeing philanthropic initiatives and special events.

CEO Robert Kyncl praised Karp�s expertise, stating, ‘Hannah’s expert insights, sharp instincts, and innovative approach to storytelling make her the ideal leader to help shape and communicate our future-focused vision during a time of rapid and dynamic evolution.’ Karp has over two decades of experience in the music and media sectors, previously spending 13 years at The Wall Street Journal covering various beats including the music industry.
