Affectionately known as Karlie Hustle, Stenius brings to New York with her 11 years of radio experience from being on-air in Portland , Oregon , Santa Cruz , California and San Diego , California and being the Assistant Program Director for six years in Phoenix , Arizona .
Karlie Hustle not only has a heavy artillery of experience in programming and PPM and has the competitive tenacity to win, is a fan in all respects and exudes the culture of Hip-Hop. “Karlie’s diverse background and high intellect help her to understand the cultural differences New York has compared to other markets around the country,””says Ebro Darden, Emmis VP of Programming and HOT 97 Program Director. “This is very useful in helping HOT 97 serve the local hip-hop community.”
Alongside her passion for music and radio, Karlie also loves doing charity work and keeps a close connection to being involved in the community. Before transitioning to New York , Karlie was also a Music Business teacher at Phoenix College .
