This is the second Crystal Award for Magic 94.5 FM WWRM (they won it in 2021) and the first for 101.5 FM WTBV-FM.

The Crystal Radio Awards reinforce the invaluable role radio plays in shaping and enriching listeners lives, said Rob, EVP of CMG Radio. Were incredibly proud that two of our Tampa stations were recognized they represent what it means to live our CMG purpose of informing, entertaining, and elevating our listeners and communities.

The Crystal Radio Awards are given by the National Association of Broadcasters to recognize radio stations for their outstanding commitment to serving their local communities, reflecting the spirit and values that define broadcasting excellence. This year, 10 radio stations in total were recognized with Crystal Radio Awards, with CMG Tampa Radio winning two of those.

To win a Crystal award is an absolute honor. To win two in the same year is truly a testament to the work and dedication of the staff for both stations and our entire team in Tampa, said Jason Meder, VP and General Manager of CMG Tampa Radio. Our teams response to the community need after back-to-back hurricanes last fall, and the $1.4 million in relief they raised for storm victims, is nothing short of amazing.

Both CMG Radio Tampa stations are cornerstones in the community and have forged deep connections through support of partners like the American Cancer Society, The Childrens Cancer Center, The Humane Society of Pinellas and Hillsborough; The Pinellas County Urban League, The ALS Foundation, and The Boys and Girls Club.

In addition to its two Tampa Radio winners, two additional CMG Radio stations were nominated as finalists, including: WOKV 104.5 FM in Jacksonville and WCFB 95.6 FM in Orlando

The finalists were honored and the winners were announced on March 4 at the 2025 NAB State Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., where over 500 broadcasters from across the country have gathered to advocate for local stations policy priorities.

The winners were chosen by a panel of judges representing the broadcast industry, community service organizations, and public relations firms.
