Introduction

Scammers are targeting clients looking to get their hair braided by using real stylists’ work and creating fake social media pages.

Reports of Scams

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is receiving reports of scams targeting individuals wanting braids. Scammers take pictures from legitimate stylists and post them on fake social media pages.

Modus Operandi

Potential clients find the fake pages and book appointments, often making small deposits. Clients realize they have been scammed when they do not hear back from the supposed stylist on the appointment day.

Impact on Legitimate Businesses

Real stylists like Porsche Hensley, who has been braiding hair for over 10 years and owns Divine Innovation 615 in Nashville, are affected. Hensley reported instances where clients arrived for appointments, only to find out they were scammed.

Precautions to Avoid Scams

BBB advises not to pay for the service in full before the appointment. Visit the stylist’s location before booking. Verify the stylist’s work by searching for them online and including the word “scam” after their name. Ask for the stylist’s license number and verify it.

Continuing the Business

Despite the scams, stylists like Porsche Hensley remain undeterred and continue their work.

Conclusion

Scammers exploiting the popularity of hair braiding are causing issues for both clients and legitimate stylists. Clients are advised to take precautions to ensure they are booking authentic services.

TheIndustry.biz is Done With Cable TV, Here’s Why

Share

Five reasons why I turned off cable TV

Cable, Radio and Newspapers are in the same family and all three have taken a bit longer to adjust to technology than they should have and all three have paid the price for it.

When it comes to cable, consumers were forced to buy expensive packages of programming that they would never have the time to watch and premium channels were expensive as add ons.

The Cable companies were fat and happy back in the day until legislation allowed digital providers to use cable signals to create smaller more palatable programming sans commercials via the internet and the cable companies could not do anything about it.

Down the toilet went their agendas and biased local and national news. People wanted to watch what they wanted to watch and save money at the same time.

There was a time that if you added HBO you had to pay close to $20.00 on top of your already pricey cable bill. Now you can get HBO for less than $5.00 and you don’t need cable at all to watch your favoriate channels. This is great. To that end….

For the first time in many years I’ve turned back on my cable to get updates and news about what’s going on in the world. I already regret it I am and I’m seriously thinking about turning it back off I can easily see why I switched it on digital TV and left Cable alone.

Extremely Annoying Commercial Loads

Once you have turned off your Cable you will realize how many commercials you about it with during each show it is incredibly annoying especially when it’s the same type of voice characters doing each commercial wow you’ve become a custom to not paying attention to the commercials once you turn your cable off you don’t have to watch them anymore because you can see your shows three through this is extremely hard to get a custom to when you turn your cable back on or you watch CNN online the commercials seem to outweight the programming time of teh shows

Advertiser’s Agendas!

There is a plethora of interracial TV commercials running at any given time and it comes across as someone of an insult not because interracial couples do exist but not to the degree that is forced down our throats from ad agencies in TV commercials. college educated Black men overwhelmingly marry Black women but the commercials that we are watching don’t actually represent the community itself but the ad agency fantasies or how THEY live. You see a LOT of white couples and a LOT of interracial couples but RARELY Black couples. What is teh deal with that?

News Stress!

Everyone that I know that is hooked to the TV to find out about the latest updates are extremely stressed out can barely sleep and are addicted. But when you watch the news the first couple of times you can obviously see that a lot of it is propaganda it’s just telling the same stories over and over again and inciting fear as a way to get ratings most people can’t get past this because they see the tragedy and that’s all they see because that’s all that’s promote it this is not to say that this is not something we should not be aware of but not 24 seven

Many Great Digital Options

The beauty of the cable in history now is that you can pretty much watch whatever you want to watch and binge watch it if you want there are so many options available now that you’re not forced to subscribe to a bunch of channels that you don’t want or never watch the options are endless sling TV and other networks offer a plethora of programming where you can switch back-and-forth between the news and not be as worn out. And you can pay a lot less

Online options! Next

Another advantage is you can get bits and pieces of the news by going on YouTube or going on a network’s website and just getting five minutes of what’s going on to the average mine that’s probably more than enough than sitting there for hours on end watching the tragedies unfold.
