Here is more information on this year’s featured panelists:

Adelaido “Payo” SolisandJuan Javier Cantuform part of the South Texas valley, six-member regional Mexican group Grupo Frontera. The six individuals formally launched their career together in 2022 and quickly skyrocketed to stardom via TikTok with their viral cover of “No Se Va.”

Known for their norteo and cumbia sounds, Grupo Frontera is constantly pushing themselves to new creative heights. This past summer, they released their highly anticipated debut album El Comienzo. The group has also achieved widespread critical acclaim having received eight nominations for this year’s Latin American Music Awards and winning for “Best Regional Mexican Song.”

Natanael Canohas challenged the conventional rules within the regional Mexican music scene and is leading a revolution as the face of the notorious corridos tumbados (aka “trap corridos”) movement whose artists add hip-hop beats, production traits, rapping, chanting, and other urbano sounds to Mexico’s 150-year-old folk song tradition.

This year, the Mexican artist released his long-awaited studio album, Nata Montana, which debuted at number five on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.

Peso Plumahas taken the world by storm, consistently racing to the top of the global charts hit after hit. His album GNESIS became the most streamed first-day album in Apple and Spotify history.

He continues breaking barriers in the music industry having appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, as the first Mexican act to appear on the program and became the first Mexican artist to be nominated for “Best New Artist” at the 2023 MTV VMAs. Currently, the global sensation continues soaring through his first ever U.S. tour.

Mexican-rising star ngel Quezada, otherwise known asSanta Fe Klan, is a singer-songwriter who was born and raised in Guanajuato, Mexico. He began his career when he was twelve years old and just a few years later he started releasing his own songs.

The Mexican sensation has released five studio albums including Mundo, which includes powerhouse tracks “Eres” and “Luka.” In addition to his new album last year, Santa Fe Klan’s single “Soy” is in the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Prologue EP as part of the musical soundtrack for the record-breaking blockbuster.

He has also earned a myriad of accolades, including a 2022 Premio Juventud for “Nuevo artista en el gnero regional Mexicano” and a 2023 Latin American Music Awards nomination for “New Artist Of The Year.”

Daniel Osvaldo Donlucas Martnez, professionally known asYng Lucas, is a Mexican singer-songwriter. His musical expedition took off in 2020 when he ventured into the genres of trap and reggaeton.

He released his first project in 2021 and his second album, LPM, included the highly successful single “La Bebe” which garnered him international acclaim and recognition. “La Bebe (Remix)” has 418 million streams on YouTube and reached the first position on the Best Global Songs chart.

Yng Lucas’ new EP, Six Jewels 23, is the third regional Mexican album that debuted on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart, and he has become number one on radio in the United States on Latin Airplay Latin Rhythm.
