“Scrub Me Mama With a Boogie Beat.” I’m surprised it wasn’t titled “Srub Me Mammy with a Boogie Beat.” This cartoon is SO racist it was eventually banned. You damn near have to laugh at the overt racist characterizations and the blatant tone of the cartoon. In it are Black people with huge pink baboon ass lips who talk slow and are the residents of Lazytown where all the black people are um …. well … LAZY? With all the other elements to make a slave oriented cartoon complete: Chickens, watermelons, and cotton balls but wait… the focus is on how to be a great washerwoman. You can’t make this stuff up.
