Donnie McClurkin Dismayed After Civil Rights Event Boot

Singer, Minister Donnie McClurkin is disappointed that the Mayor of DC uninvited him to the Civil Rights event this past weekend after complaints surfaced that the ex-gay minister did not fit the criteria for the event that was about love and unity. McClurkin who admits to being molested by male relatives when he was a child, has become an advocate for the ex-gay concept and he has made statements about gay people like “These people are killing our children.” The mayor, Vincent C. Gray (D), received complaints from gay rights groups that asked McClurkin be UNinvited to participate as his presence went against the theme of the event.

The Mayor agreed and acquiesced to the requests. In this video McClurkin expresses his dismay. source socialcam.com
