Rev Al Sharpton Will Honor Others on His Birthday

Reverend Al Sharpton, founder of the National Action Network, will host the 2014 African American Vanguard Awards reception on Thursday, October 16. This event was created by Lord, Bush & Randolph, LLC. (LBR) to recognize African American’s who have made a positive impact on the City of Los Angeles and surrounding communities. This year LBR, in partnership with the Los Angeles Chapter (NAN-LA), will honor the achievments of LA’s most prominent and influential African Americans.

Some of the honorees that will be in attendance are Grammy nominated R&B singer-songwriter, actor, author and TV producer, Tyrese Gibson; Congressmember Karen Bass, Compton Mayor, The Honorable Aja Brown, Apostle Beverly “BAM” Crawford, Pastor of Bible Enrichment Fellowship International Church, Macy’s Carol Jackson VP of Government and Public Affairs and Union Bank’s Julius Robinson, Vice President of Corporate Responsibility, to name a few. In addition, the group will be celebrating Rev. Al’s 60th birthday.

Honorees will be featured in the 2014 Most Influential African Americans Los Angeles Edition commemorative magazine that will be published in November.
