HOT 98-1 Announces Staff ChangesMurph Dawg & CJ on Mornings, 4 Others PromotedGREENVILLE, SC ““ September 20, 2010 ““ Cox Media Group (CMG) Greenville announced today that the Murph Dawg & CJ Show will begin airing on HOT 98-1/WHZT-FM on Thursday, September 23. Murph Dawg & CJ will air live Monday – Friday from 6 am to 10 am. Previously heard on CMG-owned WBTS-FM in Atlanta, Murph Dawg & CJ host a successful, proven morning radio program featuring the biggest hits, celebrities, funny bits and lifestyle entertainment targeted to active adults.”Having Murph Dawg & CJ live for mornings is the final piece we need for HOT 98-1. They have a proven show which will resonate with listeners and advertisers. Our simulcast with 98.1 in the Upstate and 94.1 in Spartanburg is already paying dividends with a larger audience. Murph Dawg & CJ will add more listeners and increase listener loyalty, expand ing our audience for advertisers,” said Steve Sinicropi, VP/GM for CMG Greenville.In addition, HOT 98-1 announced the following promotions:Supa Dave Jackson was named Program Director. Supa Dave was previously Assistant Program Director (APD) and continues to host the 10 am to 3 pm shift on HOT 98-1. “I knew when I met Supa Dave he had what it took to be a PD. His growth as a manager has shown everyone here he’s ready to lead HOT 98-1 to the top,” said Steve Crumbley, Operations Manager for CMG Greenville.Marino was named APD and continues to host the top rated Adult 18-34 (tied with WJMZ) Afternoon Drive program from 3 pm to 7 pm.Tone Hollywood was named Music Director. Tone continues to host the top rated Adult 18-34 night show from 7 pm to 12 midnight. Tone Hollywood’s show was named Radio Show of the Year in 2010 by the South Carolina Broadcasters Association.Karolyn Bryant was named Local Sales Manager. Karolyn joined CMG Greenville in 2006. Karolyn graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego in 2003 with a BS degree in Broadcasting and Mass Media. Karolyn’s volunteer work includes Big Brother/Big Sister, Habitat for Humanity, Hand s on Greenville, Meals on Wheels, and annual participation in American Diabetes Association and Susan G Komen walks.”I’m thrilled to announce these well deserved promotions.
