Cory Sims Appointed Senior Director at Aims

AI Music Similarity Tech Company AIMS appointed music-tech consultant Cory Sims (CES Associates, Inc.) to the position of Senior Director of Business Development.

Based in New York City, Cory Sims will report to Einar Helde (Co-Founder), with whom he’ll be working closely to develop new business relationships in the US.

Cory Sims

Sims started his music career as a drummer and then tour manager for the band Bronze Radio Return. He was a music promoter and concert organizer in Hartford, CT, before becoming the Business Development Executive at The Harry Fox Agency in 2018.  He then launched his music business consultancy group CES Associates, Inc. and has helped startups and artists navigate the complexities of the music industry.

Bringing over 15 years of music rights knowledge, licensing, relationships, and experience to AIMS, Sims will continue to run CES ADVISR independently.

Einar Helde, Co-Founder of AIMS, said: “We are thrilled to have Cory on our team; his expertise and industry knowledge will be integral to our ambitious plans for growth in the US.”

AIMS is an API service that uses powerful AI to search for and recommend music within a music catalog based on reference audio tracks. Designed and trained by music supervisors, composers, and machine learning specialists, AIMS understands how music professionals search, be it for film, TV, games, or other sync uses. Its tools can be integrated seamlessly into websites and catalog management workflows. AIMS finds the right tracks, often uncovering hidden gems, offering new technology that quickly and efficiently searches large catalogs.

“Meeting with Einar and the entire AIMS team and hearing how passionate they are about  their impressive technology and their ambitious goals for the US was enough to convince me to join the team. I look forward to working with AIMS and helping them grow and be a leader in this arena,” Cory Sims added.
