Times have greatly changed and now many stars who are not getting leverage with their careers as singers or comedians are making an effort to get into radio AFTER they have established themselves to bridge the gap. I learned a lot about business, management and entrepreneurship, most importantly to be on time ("to be on time is to be late" was the motto) and to work hard. The trial for a man accused of murdering Columbus, GA. radio dj David Rutherford begins today. Rutherford 57 had retired from radio and was driving a cab. The suspect claims he had nothing to do with the murder and his attorney claims there are no witnesses (see vid below). Rutherford's father was also a dj who went by the name Rudy "The Duce" Rutherford. His father is in the Radio Hall of Fame. [...]
