Ebro in the Morning discussed Irv Gotti wearing the watch Ashanti gave him. Laura Stylez says Irv Gotti’s relationship with singer Ashanti was recently discussed on the show. Now Fat Joe is weighing in on the situation.
“20 years later it felt like he’s not over the young lady, right? So also, we didn’t know that they were *******. Because the whole time I’m there, “what’s love” big pun record on tour. I’ve never seen them together like that. Now I’m not saying it wasn’t, they was. Or there were rumors they was. I’ve never seen it. But I don’t need to know. I don’t need to know. Now it’s OK if it’s on a documentary, you got to say your truth for the documentary, but you keep calling… keep disrespecting. Guys, I’m not going to be [the] one, you know, I’m not the guy to stand up for Ashanti… but I’m not telling stories about a girl I was with 20 years ago…” said Fat Joe.
Fat Joe goes on to call Gotti a genius and said that Ashanti did not disrespect him.
Ebro says that he is sure Irv Gotti will be on the show to promote his documentary at some point and he is going to ask him why he is saying those things about Ashanti. Ebro said Gotti seemed angry and bitter and upset at Ashanti during the episode especially when he taunted her that was never going to get her masters back.
The radio host talked about the Irv Gotti interview and said the music mogul referenced a wristwatch that Ashanti had given him years ago that he was still wearing. The cast noted that Irv Gotti was still wearing the watch.
