Tragedy Strikes St. Petersburg Family as Two-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot by Father
In a heartbreaking incident, a two-year-old boy from St. Petersburg lost his life after being shot by his father on Sunday night, according to local authorities. The St. Petersburg Police Department swiftly took action, arresting the father, Aaron Creary, on charges of aggravated manslaughter of a child and violation of probation.
The young boy, identified as Armani Creary, was tragically struck by a bullet during an argument that unfolded at his grandparents’ residence on 15th Avenue South. As the situation escalated, Aaron Creary reportedly brandid a firearm, unintentionally causing harm to his own son.
“He would light up the room when he walked in there. He had a smile and sometimes a smirk,” Makayla’s aunt Jessica Burton said. Armani, along with his twin sister Aubrianna, recently celebrated their second birthday just last month. According to Burton, Armani had a fondness for the popular TV show “Paw Patrol” and cherid the moments spent at their ranch, where they could interact with horses.
“It’s going to be very difficult for Aubrianna, but will get as well as everybody in the family, the much-needed support,” Burton said. “We already have a plan for counseling everybody’s young, but all the siblings are really close nieces, nephews.”
In a touching display of support and remembrance, loved ones gathered on Monday evening at Childs Park in St. Petersburg for a balloon release and vigil to honor the memory of the toddler, who tragically lost his life just 24 hours prior.
“There’s no doubt in my mind family will get through this. It’s going to be a long road,” Burton said. Source.
