Real stylists like Porsche Hensley, who has been braiding hair for over 10 years and owns Divine Innovation 615 in Nashville, are affected. Hensley reported instances where clients arrived for appointments, only to find out they were scammed.

Precautions to Avoid Scams

BBB advises not to pay for the service in full before the appointment. Visit the stylist’s location before booking. Verify the stylist’s work by searching for them online and including the word “scam” after their name. Ask for the stylist’s license number and verify it.

Despite the scams, stylists like Porsche Hensley remain undeterred and continue their work.

Part of ‘50 & Forever,’ the celebration of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary from Amazon Music, the broadcast will air live from Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle and feature three of the most important names in New York hip-hop

Continuing its “50 & Forever” celebration of hip-hop, Amazon Music will present an exclusive livestream of the blockbuster “N.Y. State of Mind Tour,” featuring Wu-Tang Clan and Nas with special guest De La Soul, on October 18.

The livestream, which begins at 8 p.m. PDT, will broadcast the Seattle date of the blockbuster hip-hop tour from Climate Pledge Arena. Fans can watch the livestream on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and Prime Video.

The “N.Y. State of Mind Tour” unites three of the most influential East Coast hip-hop acts of all time on one unforgettable bill, bringing New York City to the rest of the world.

The 32-date global tour kicked off in May in Auckland, New Zealand and has found the hip-hop icons traversing Australia, Europe, and North America.

The 2023 tour comes on the heels of the sold-out 2022 “N.Y. State of Mind Tour,” which hit 25+ cities last year, and was nominated for Pollstar’s Hip-Hop Tour of The Year.

At 7 p.m. PDT on October 18, Amazon Music will host a live episode of Rotation Roundtable—the hip-hop talk show from Amazon Music hosted by Nyla Symone, Speedy Morman, Gabe P, and Rob Markman—on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, about Wu-Tang, Nas, and De La Soul’s legendary performance.
