Jerry O’Connell Admits ‘there were sparks early’ From First Time Meeting Rebecca Romijn
Wednesday on “The Talk” host Jerry O’Connell opens up about first time meeting wife, Rebecca Romijn. He reveals, “Let me tell you. I met my wife, I met her like days after her separation from her first husband [John Stamos] was announced. I saw her at a party, and I was like a laser beam on her.
I was like, that one right there. By the way, it was like at a nightclub, I was not in the VIP section, my wife was. I had to break into the VIP section. My wife was on a date with another person, another man.
I had met her once before, there were, my wife was married at the time, no nanigans everybody, calm down… was separated, I think legally…but I gotta tell you, there were sparks early. I knew there was a connection form meeting in passing. And the second there was an opening, I jammed in.” Akbar Gbajabiamila adds, “I didn’t know you had game man, I actually kind of judged you, but you got game man, you got real game.”
Chris Hardwick Pranks Wil Wheaton With ‘Stand By Me’ Song on Repeat
Chris Hardwick visits “The Talk” and dis on friend Wil Wheaton as a roommate. Jerry O’Connell says, “I have known you for years, I found out something new about you today …you were college roommates with my ‘Stand By Me’ costar, Wil Wheaton.” Hardwick admits, “Ya Wil, I’ve known Wil since we were kids.
We’ve been friends for 30 something years…he was a fantastic roommate, he’s just such a lovely guy, we’ve been friends for so long, he’s the best. He was always so shy about being famous when he was younger, and we went to one of these little 50’s diners once, and they had a little jukebox at each diner table.
And ‘Stand By Me’ was in there, and songs were a nickel, so I got like two dollars worth of nickels, and then all of the sudden we’re sitting there and we hear [song intro], and he’s like ‘omg what the’ and then string of expletives. And then it ends and he relaxes, and then then all the sudden [song intro again]. I love Wil. Wil, if you’re watching out there, I adore you.”

Wednesday on “The Talk” Malika Andrews opens up about making history by hosting the NBA draft. This was when I was a Cub newspaper reporter, I could barely afford you know, food at the grocery store. And I didn’t have a winter coat, and I didn’t know as a California girl, living in Chicago that an actual winter coat was going to be necessary. So I walked into lunch, he looked me up and down, and he said I will take you to lunch, but first I’m going to take you and I’m going to buy you a winter coat. And I still have that coat.”
