Cox Media Group has named Danny Bortnick Vice President of Local Revenue and Client Growth for CMG Radio. He officially joins the company July 13.
The newly created role is focused on driving local revenue and strengthening client relationships across CMG’s radio markets. Bortnick will work with market leaders and sales teams to align strategy, improve execution, and expand revenue opportunities.

Bortnick brings more than 20 years of experience in radio and media sales. His background includes leadership roles at iHeartMedia and CBS Radio. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales for Hubbard Radio and 2060 Digital in West Palm Beach, where he oversaw revenue strategy across multiple stations and led efforts to rebuild and modernize the sales operation.
At CMG, his focus will include sales structure, client engagement, and consistency across markets as the company looks to strengthen its local revenue performance.
Bortnick has been recognized by several industry organizations, including Radio Ink’s “Best Managers in America,” Edison Research’s “30 Under 30,” and the Washington Business Journal’s “40 Under 40.”
