This year, the selection process saw a substantial number of applications from across Missouri, highlighting the growing interest in broadcasting careers among students. The recipients include Caleb Brownley from Carrollton, a University of Central Missouri student currently working at Carter Media; Keaston Chaplin from Reeds Spring, a high school senior planning to pursue Broadcast Journalism; and Brad Hadank from Bolivar, who is majoring in Digital Media Production at the University of Central Missouri.
Other notable recipients are Titus Holmes from Kansas City, studying Communications and Journalism at the University of Missouri Kansas City; Anna Ince from Louisiana, a Communications/Broadcast Journalism major at Lindenwood University; Nathan Johnson from Point Lookout, a Broadcast Journalism student at the College of the Ozarks; Nickolas McKinley from Reeds Spring, a Film and Broadcasting major at Evangel University; and Samantha Williams from Springfield, also studying Communications and Journalism at Evangel University.
Many of this year’s scholarship recipients are already gaining practical experience through campus radio and television stations or part-time roles at member stations of the MBA, reflecting the association’s commitment to fostering the next generation of broadcasting professionals. The strong interest in the scholarship program underscores the vibrant future of broadcasting in Missouri.
