Brian Thomas Named VP of Programming for CBS Radio Tampa

 width=Brian Thomas has been named Vice President of Programming for the six CBS RADIO stations in Tampa, it was announced today by Benjamin Hill, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, CBS RADIO Tampa. The appointment is effective on Monday, June 4.CBS RADIO owns and operates top-rated stations WLLD-FM (WiLD 94.1); WQYK-FM (99.5 Country); WQYK (1010AM Sports); WRBQ-FM (104.7 Classic Hits); WSJT-FM (98.7 Adult Hits); and WYUU-FM (92.5 Spanish).Thomas, an accomplished and respected radio programmer, is currently program director of CBS RADIO’s iconic WCBS-FM in New York and Vice President of Classic Hits Programming for the Company. He has also been working with CBS RADIO station WODS-FM in Boston for the past two years. During his tenure at WCBS, the station was honored with a Marconi Award for Oldies Station of the Year (2010) and has consistently been among the top-ranked stations in the New York area.In addition, Thomas has extensive experience as a programmer and consultant in major markets such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Boston, Detroit, and Seattle.
