Reebok Drops Rick Ross

Reebok Rick Ross

With all the controversy surrounding the Rick Ross “rape lyrics,” Reebok has decided to end its relationship with the MMG rapper. The sneaker brand said in a statement Thursday that “Reebok holds our partners to a high standard and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so.”
Rick Ross tried to apologize for his lyrics on Rocko’s song “U.O.E.N.O.” in a tweet last week but it came too late.

On the day he sent the tweet, a women’s group, UltraViolet, protested outside of one Reebok’s stores in Manhattan. The infamous lyrics that got Ross in so much hot water were, “Put Molly all up in her champagne, she ain’t even know it, I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it,”
It’s getting real out here in these streets. Rappers are losing deals, getting arrested, getting dropped from radio airplay, and everything based off their lyrics.
