President Obama Says Criminal Justice System Needs Reform

President Barack Obama says the U.S. can no longer close its eyes to the problems in its criminal justice system. Obama called for criminal justice reform at the NAACP’s annual convention in Philadelphia. The President pointed out how cell phone cameras have brought attention to a problem that has been going on for years in the community.

He also challenges us to not ignore the statistics that clearly point out racial injustice in the courts. Check out the clip to see the highlights from his speech as he didn’t pull any punches.https://youtu.be/b51y49IJa_E
