A 22-year-old pregnant mother of two, Shalya Curtis, was shot and killed by a man in a house where was visiting someone else. This happened in Kansas, City.
Witnesses say was in an upstairs bedroom and came downstairs and had a few words with the assailant and a gunshot was heard.
The man who was upstairs came down to see what was going on and said that he saw the victim laying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head while the assailant was running down the street. The assailant Emmett Williams was charged with second-degree murder and authorities are investigating adding a charge of additional homicide for the unborn child.
