Pandora is celebrating Diwali with Raja Kumari and a new Diwali Party Playlist, just in time for the Indian festival of lights on Saturday, November 14. One of the most popular holidays in Hinduism, Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.

Pandora Stories: Raja Kumari Forges Her Own Lane: With her new music, Raja Kumari is pushing herself vocally, lyrically and spiritually. On the eve of Diwali, the Indian-American rapper, songwriter and singer shares her newfound perspective on karma, personifying the goddess Kali in her lyrics and how she’s creating her own unique destiny in two countries.
Although the five-day festival of Diwali begins on Thursday, the main celebrations typically occur on the third day, which falls on Saturday, November 14 this year. Celebrants dress in their finest clothes, light lanterns and candles, exchange gifts and sweets, and watch fireworks. To get in the spirit, check out Pandora’s Diwali Party Playlist for the hottest Bollywood and Bhangra tunes for this year’s festivities!
For more Diwali fun, check out a recent episode of the Office Ladies podcast with hosts Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey and special guest Mindy Kaling, who discusses how she came to work on “The Office,” what it was like for her to be able to pitch and write the Diwali episode, and explains why they cast her actual parents in this episode. Then Jenna and Angela dig into this episode even deeper covering Kevin’s sweaty feet, and what went into filming and costuming the Diwali festivities. Finally, they connect with Jaysha Patel, who played one of Mindy’s sisters and get her memories of filming this episode and why sushi and bottle service don’t mix.
