KIDD KENN RELEASES NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR “ BENJI”

Kidd Kenn, the 17-year old hip-hop sensation, premieres a new video for his track “Benji,” which follows a string of successful releases since signing with Island Records only last year – “Bougie Fellow,” “Babysitter” and “U 2 Funny,” The latest video in his rapidly growing collection of hits from his highly anticipated mixtape Child’s Play features Kenn spitting his wittiest wordplay to date while also foreshadowing his world-wide takeover. The young rapper is shown sprinkling his classic Kidd Kenn flavor from a coffee shop all the way into the club preaching “I say what I want and I never get touched.” The track’s playful yet hard-hitting rhymes stay true to the teen phenom’s signature style and continue to prove that this up-and-comer is an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.In such a short period of time, Kenn went from being one of the fastest-rising rappers in Chicago’s underground music scene to receiving the praise from Grammy® Award-winning artists Lizzo and Lil Nas X JT as well as support from artists like JT from City Girls, Young M.A., Queen Key, Asian Doll, and Dreezy. In June 2018, he even opened for R&B star Kehlani at the San Francisco Pride Festival. Kenn’s rapid success is only the beginning for this groundbreaking hip-hop artist. In September 2019, he made back-to-back performances at the MOBI showcase at the Delancey on New York’s Lower East Side; and at the Camp Smokey Bear Festival in Chicago. Since Kenn’s breakout performance at the Red Bull Music Festival (November 2018), a showcase for the best of Chicago’s queer underground, the buzz has been explosive. PAPER, Fader, Nylon, Teen Vogue, Office Magazine, Interview Magazine,COOLS, and other tastemakers have all rallied behind the young artist, with Nylon calling him a “rap phenom,” and Fader dubbing him “Chicago’s Next Teen Sensation.”
