A group of car thieves managed to escape after they shot a security guard for confronting them during a car theft. The incident happened at an Apartment complex located at 464 Boulevard in northeast Atlanta on Thursday morning.
Police said while the security guard was out checking on the property, he noticed the assailants breaking into parked cars. Police said one of the suspects shot the security guard after he confronted them.
The security guard is conscious and is expected to be okay. He was shot in the leg, said police. The suspects managed to escape in a blue vehicle. A description of the car or vehicle is not available at this time.
