The magazine business is in deep sh… and Johnson Publishing, Ebony magazine’s parent company, is on the search for new headquarters after just finalizing the sale of the historic Michigan Ave. offices in Chicago to Columbia College. The building, completed in 1972, is the first major edifice in downtown Chicago designed by an African American since Jean Baptiste Point DuSable’s trading post, completed a whole two centuries prior. Word is that Johnson Publishing has plans to build a committee to determine the next place the company’s worldwide headquarters will call home. I have a suggestion.. How about ONLINE and update that damn content.
