Driver Escapes Sinking SUV in Freezing Chattahoochee River

A dramatic incident occurred in the Chattahoochee River on Monday morning, where a driver lost control of their vehicle and ended up in the river.

According to the Cobb County police, the driver ended up in the river at Paces Mill early in the morning. Despite the challenging situation, the driver managed to escape his flooding vehicle and swim safely through the chilly water.

The SUV ultimately sank 750 meters downstream, but the Cobb Police Department’s Underwater Search and Recovery Team were able to locate the vehicle in the 46-degree wateR&Bring it back to shore.

The driver, whose identity has not been revealed, is receiving medical attention for their injuries.
