    San Francisco (August 13, 2007) – Current TV, world’s peer-to-peer news and information network, today announced the launch of “The Daily Fix,” – the first music blog for television, premiering Wednesday, August 15 on Current TV. “The Daily Fix” will bring daily, dedicated music news back to television six times a day with timely coverage on artists and the music from around the world.

    “The Daily Fix” will help to break emerging artists from a slew of by shining a spotlight on formerly and unreachable artists worldwide – before they hit the mainstream. Dan Deacon, Dizzee Rascal, Josh Ritter, Saigon and St. Vincent are among the TV music blog’s first picks for feature coverage.

    “The Daily Fix” will give viewers 90-second doses of daily music news in a reporting style that utilizes MP3s from music blog aggregators, gritty user-generated video clips and cell phone camera images. From sample-based music and mash-ups to footage shot by , “The Daily Fix” will infuse its coverage with music and never before seen or heard on television.

    Created by producers Douglas Caballero () and Alex Simmons (director), “The Daily Fix” will air six times every day: 9:31 a.m.; 1:31p.m.; 5:31p.m.; 8:31p.m.; 12:31 a.m.; and 04:31 a.m. (all times EST).
