Raekwon’s classic debut album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx introduced his lyrical genius, with the sequel album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II firmly cementing him into rap history.Raekwon will be headlining the 10th Anniversary Brooklyn Hip Hop festival alongside Jay Electronica on July 12th and performing at the Dour Festival in Dour, Belgium July 17-July 20th and the Rockefeller in Oslo, Norway on August 1st. Warner/Chappell Music (WCM), the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, today announced that it has signed a global publishing agreement with Grammy Award-winning hip-hop music producer Mike Dean. Effective immediately, Warner/Chappell will administer Dean’s past and future songwriting.Most recently, Dean has been in the studio with Lorde, Brad Paisley and Beyoncé. He contributed to the production of many of Kanye West’s albums, including Yeezus, as well as The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, all of which won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. The Industry Dot Biz: Former Kobalt Music Group employee, Rebekah Alperin has been named senior vp of marketing and communications at Universal Music Publishing. Alperin will report to UMPG North American president Evan Lamberg and Will Tanous, the company's executive vp and head of global communications.“Rebekah’s depth of experience and the strength of her reputation make her a great addition to our communications team,” said Tanous in a statement released this morning (August 11). "Her global marketing skills coupled with her being one of the best PR experts in the music publishing business is a real win for us,” said Lamberg.Rebekah Alperin released a statement regarding her new position.
