Scott Greer has been named Executive Vice President of Capitol Music Group, it was announced today by CMG Chairman and CEO Steve Barnett, to whom Greer will report. Long-storied Motown Records has named Marc Byers as the new General Manager of Motown Records. In this newly-created position, Byers will work closely with label President Ethiopia Habtemariam to develop the label's business strategy and development.Bringing over two decades of industry experience, Byers was most recently the Founder and co-CEO of Rockstar Entertainment, and in his career has worked with Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Jamie Foxx, and Chris Brown among others.Habtemariam said of Byers' addition:“We are excited to have Marc Byers join the Motown team!
