Radio One, Inc. announced today that Charlotte radio will never be the same as they welcome home, Charlotte’s own “Fly Ty,” hosting afternoons on My92.7 (WQNC), weekday afternoons from 2pm – 6pm starting Monday, March 8, 2010.A veteran to radio, Fly Ty got his start in the early 90’s in Charlotte, NC as co-host/producer of the “Breakfast Brotha’s Morning Show,” on WPEG. After 10 years in Charlotte radio, he moved on to Dallas, Texas working at KRNB 105.7 and most recently was co-host/producer of The Playground Morning Show on K104.Terri Thomas, My92.7 (WQNC) Program Director says, “It is a dream of most on-air personalities to be able to be on the air in their own hometown.
