The press conference will serve as the official kick-off celebration for the forthcoming Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame (WOF) which will be permanently installed in the historic downtown Atlanta area on the sidewalks of Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and Northside Drive. The event will feature a proclamation presentation to mark the permanent location of the WOF and speeches from WOF Founders Michael T. Mauldin (BAM), Demmette Guidry (BAM), State Representative Erica Thomas (GEC) and Catherine Brewton (GEC). The WOF is a joint initiative by BAM, a 501(c)(6) membership professional trade organization, and GEC, a 501(c)(4) organization. With both a national and international appeal, the WOF will honor iconic individuals and organizations that have impacted Black culture and community alongside those who continue to lead us into the future.
