The 2011 WHUR Coat Drive was bigger and better than ever. WHUR covered the area, broadcasting live from 3 wonderful locations””Virginia’s Fashion Center at Pentagon City, Washington‘s Central Union Mission, and Maryland‘s Iverson Mall.The community responded and WHUR was able to collect over 300 coats and over $4,000. The coats and cash donations have been distributed equally to the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, United Communities Against Poverty, and Central Union Mission.
