The Rickey Smiley Morning Show discussed Norman Baker’s take on the final episode. Baker, Wendy Williams producer, reportedly got candid about the last days of the Wendy Williams show. According to the series longtime producer, details of the finale episode were not provided and were not decided by the producer’s team. Baker said the decision was “above his pay grade.”
Baker spoke with Carlos King on his podcast, the Reality with The King. He was asked, “how do you feel when people say they hated how the show ended and they felt like she didn’t get the tribute she deserved.” Baker responded that the decision was “above me.”
Baker explained how the show’s final episode came to be. According to Baker, he did not know what the process of the show was, nor did he know anything about it. There were internal talks about what actions would be taken, but those were decisions made above him.
The producer said that Williams and her show’s production team, Delmar Mercury, feuded for months following her absence due to her health concerns. When the media personality expressed a willingness and readiness to return to work, the network had already moved on to someone else.
Gary said reportedly Williams is coming out with her podcast, so fans are waiting to see what’s going to happen on the podcast.
