Just in time for the new year, singer/writer Ne-Yo slapped R Kelly with a alleged $800,000 lawsuit for breach of contract after Kelly fired Ne-Yo from the “Double Up Tour.” Shaffer “Ne-Yo” Smith claims that Kelly fired him because he was jealous of the attention the audience was giving him. Kelly fired Ne-Yo after just two shows and a $50,000 mere payment when the original agreement was for close to 1 Million and many more shows (um, I’ll take the $50,000). Kelly also had a similar beef with Jay Z a few years back and sued Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter for $75 million, Jay-Z counter sued and claimed R Kelly was using the debacle as a way to cast light away from his (still) pending child molestation charges.
