Chuy Gomez Returns to Radio as New Afternoon Drive dj for the New hip hop & R&B Station
NEW YORK – MARCH 17, 2014 – Univision Radio, the leading Hispanic radio group that owns and operates 68 broadcast radio stations in 16 of the top 25 U.S. markets has re-launched one of its stations in San Francisco KVVF-FM to HOT 105.7/100.7, as the Bay Area’s New #1 for hip hop & R&B. Hot 105.7/100.7 is the perfect blend of the most Hip Hop, R&B and Top 40 Rhythmic from some of the biggest chart toppers including Nelly, Drake, Rihanna, Beyonce, Eminem, Jay Z Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Pit Bull and more. As part of the launch, the station welcomes Chuy Gomez, one of the most recognizable voices in radio, as the new dj of the afternoon drive on weekdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. beginning today at 5 p.m., March 17, 2014. Chuy Gomez is known for entertaining listeners with his unique blend of personality, humor, and music.
On Friday March 14th at 3 p.m., the station captured attention for looping Nelly’s “Hot in Herre” continuously. Social media went viral on Twitter with #Nelly1057, and also became the top trending topic on Facebook over the weekend.

With over 20 years of experience in radio, Chuy Gomez was most recently the on air personality for Clear Channel’s KMEL where he took on the night jock position and later moving to the morning drive. He quickly became one of the station’s most popular personalities, attracting appearances from some of the biggest names in music and entertainment industry.
