COX MEDIA GROUP ATLANTA APPOINTS CHRIS CENTORE ASSISTANT PROGRAM DIRECTOR AND NEW AFTERNOON DRIVE HOST FOR B98.5
�Cox Media Group Atlanta names Chris Centore as Assistant Program Director for WALR, WSB-FM and WSRV, effective immediately. Centore will also host the afternoon drive on B98.5 (WSB-FM/Atlanta), weekdays from 2 to 7 p.m.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chris to the CMGA team,” says Chris Eagan, senior director of operations of Cox Media Group Atlanta. “His years of diverse experience in programming plus his all-in, can-do attitude make him the perfect fit for this role.”
With more than 20 years’ experience in the broadcasting space, Centore has worked with several high-profile and top-rated stations in major markets, including Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. He started his career at WHOB in New Hampshire before being recruited to Richmond, Virginia to help launch the market’s first-ever alternative rock station, WDYL.

He’s also worked with WFNX and WBQB before joining the WSB team in April 2019.
“I am excited for this new opportunity with B98.5 and to work alongside Chris Eagan and the CMGA team,” says Centore. “I look forward to being part of our listeners’ afternoon commute and to help our radio stations continue to deliver the best, most compelling on-air content in Atlanta.”
