    BMI presented “ New Mexican Revolution” during Billboard Latin Music Week on Tuesday, October 3, at the Faena Forum in Miami. The panel featured a of today’s most prominent artists who are revolutionizing Mexican music including Grupo Frontera’s Adelaido “Payo” Solis and Juan Javier CantuPeso Pluma, and Yng Lucas. BMI’s VP of Creative, Latin, Jesus Gonzalez moderated the conversation.

    On collaborating, Grupo Frontera members talked about connecting with Edgar Barrera and MAG on the hit “un x100to” and revealed that they had no idea Bad Bunny would be a part of the until he appeared on the set to record the music video.

    Yng Lucas also touched on the importance of collaborating with other emerging artists and helping one another elevate in the industry. Moreover, the group reflected on the evolution and groundbreaking of Mexican music, with Peso Pluma sharing that it’s because of unity that the genre has received mainstream notoriety, stating “we’re now taking this music global.”
