Woman Unable to Abort Skull-less Fetus in Her State

A woman in Louisiana is unable to get an abortion after being told by her doctor that the baby has a birth defect and will likely cause the baby to be stillborn. This is the effect of the reversal of Roe v. Wade’s decision on women like Nancy Davis who has three children and a partner already.

The condition is Acrania, which happens when the fetus lacks a skull. Davis would like to have an abortion but is unable to and has to go to another state to have it done. She is 10 weeks pregnant. “Basically, they said I had to carry my baby to bury my baby,” Davis said as she stood with her family and civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump outside the Louisiana state Capitol on Friday.
