The magazine wrote that Kim Kardashian is using her power as an influencer to bring back a hairstyle the internet has claimed to have left behind. A couple of years ago, teens on TikTok declared that the side part was dead and deemed the look millennial culture, said Gary With Da Tea.
Not everyone was happy about the magazine’s take on that iconic style, informed Gary. One social media user wrote, “Kim Kardashian did not bring back the side part; literally every hot girl I know had a side part this year. If you’re White and forgot a hairstyle existed, say that.”
Another user wrote that Kim Kardashian is bringing back the side part to distract people from the fact that she decimated California’s water supply, said Gary. More said she wanted to shout out to all sisters wearing their hair parted down the middle because they have thin edges.
Da Brat said that black women have been wearing the side part forever, and White women need to stop getting the credit for what women of color have been doing for a long time.
