    Multiple Businesses Targeted

In South Los Angeles, at least three businesses within a four-mile radius were broken into, including an AutoZone store at Century and Hoover. The incidents began as street takeovers and quickly escalated into store takeovers.

    AutoZone Store Ransacked

During the street takeover, individuals performing donuts in the intersection were joined by dozens who broke into the AutoZone. They smad the glass door and ripped open a metal fence, vandalizing the store and looting items. The stolen merchandise included an estimated $1,100 worth of goods, which were later recovered by police and returned to the store.

    Pursuit and Arrest

One suspect led police on a pursuit after leaving the AutoZone with several others. He dropped off his accomplices and continued fleeing until he finally surrendered in the El Segundo area. Police recovered the stolen merchandise from his car.

    Additional Break-Ins

Shortly after the AutoZone incident, a Chinese restaurant about a mile and a half away on Avalon was broken into. Its front window was smad, and the ATM inside was damaged. Another business, a small family-owned market and smoke shop also on Avalon, was similarly vandalized and looted.

    Police Investigation

Detectives from both the riff’s department and LAPD are working together to determine if the incidents are connected. The damage at the AutoZone alone is estimated to be in the thousands of dollars.
