Details are sketchy but singer Vesta Williams has died. Sources state she was in the process of moving and was staying in a hotel. She died Sunday but was not discovered until yesterday. She was 53. I just saw her perform at the KJLH event in LA a few months back and had a chance to speak with her. The first thing she said when she hit the stage was, “I look good for 53, don’t I? and the audience agreed. UPDATE: Authorities state there were several bottles of prescription pills on the nightstand, some totally empty. They suspect this may have been an accidental overdose or a suicide but are awaiting toxicology reports that will take about six weeks.
