Sony Music Publishing (SMP) has formed a global publishing administration partnership with Sea Gayle Music and Domain Capital Group. This collaboration will see SMP taking on global administration for Sea Gayle’s extensive catalog, which includes hits like “You Should Probably Leave” and “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.”

Chris DuBois, CEO of Sea Gayle Music, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that he’s long admired Rusty Gaston’s approach to supporting songwriters. DuBois is confident that this partnership will provide Sea Gayle’s team and catalog with a creative community and the global reach their music deserves.
Rusty Gaston, CEO of Sony Music Publishing Nashville, echoed these sentiments, praising Sea Gayle’s pivotal role in Nashville’s songwriting scene and expressing pride in partnering with such a respected name in country music.
Founded in 1999 by Chris DuBois, Brad Paisley, and Frank Rogers, Sea Gayle Music has become a significant force in country music. In 2020, Domain Capital Group acquired Sea Gayle’s catalog and entered into a joint venture with the publisher. Sea Gayle is home to some of country music’s most iconic songwriters, including Brad Paisley, Chris Stapleton, Jerrod Niemann, and Bobby Pinson, to name a few.
