Cassie Ventura and Sean Combs have resolved a lawsuit amicably, according to statements from both parties. Ventura, who had accused Combs of rape, sex trafficking, and physical abuse, expressed gratitude for the support from her family, fans, and lawyers, stating her decision to settle the matter on terms could control. Combs also confirmed the amicable resolution, wishing Ventura and her family well.
The lawsuit was filed by Ventura in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, naming Combs, his label Bad Boy Entertainment, Epic Records, Combs Enterprises LLC, and others as co-defendants. Ventura, who worked for these entities from 2006 to 2019, alleged that Combs began abusing her in 2005, including providing her with alcohol and drugs at the age of 19, beating her, forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes, and raping her in 2018. The settlement amount was not disclosed.
Douglas Widor, Ventura’s lawyer, praised her for her courage in bringing the lawsuit to public attention. Additionally, following the lawsuit’s announcement, Aubrey O’Day, formerly of Danity Kane and signed to Bad Boy Records by Combs, expressed her support for Ventura on Instagram.
