A devastating accident occurred in Deer Park, Long Island, when a minivan crad into a nail salon, resulting in four fatalities and nine injuries. The crash happened just after 4:30 PM at Hawaii Nail and Spa on Grand Boulevard.
Eyewitness Accounts and Immediate Aftermath
Eyewitness Jasmine Daubuz, a regular customer at the salon, recounted that narrowly missed being at the salon at the time of the crash. According to police, the minivan left the parking lot across the street and drove straight through the front of the business, almost reaching the back where customers were seated.
Gina Perez, another witness, heard the crash and ran to the scene, observing several women on stretchers, some of whom were non-responsive.
Casualties and Injuries
Investigators confirmed that all the deceased individuals were inside the salon when the minivan struck. Four people were killed, and at least nine others sustained injuries. The incident left the community in shock, as the salon had been a local fixture since its opening in 2010.
