As we move into 2025, AT&T is once again proud to announce the return of its renowned 28 Days campaign. Commemorating its seventh anniversary, this campaign continues to inspire consumers by showcasing Black History Month through a forward-looking lens. This year, the multi- speaker series and concert tour is set to be hosted by the dynamo of laughter and thought-provoking interaction, comedian and radio personality, Rickey Smiley. AT&T’s 28 Days has consistently garnered support from the African -on-bet” target=”_blank”> community, which has been key to its success over the years. This year, the campaign aims to further inspire individuals to act on their dreams by introducing new speakers and musical performances, keeping the campaign fresh and engaging.
Rickey Smiley: The New Face of AT&T 28 Days
With Rickey Smiley at the forefront of AT&T 28 Days, the audience is guaranteed to an entertaining Black History Month. Joining Smiley is a lineup of today’s influential leaders and trendsetters, who will focus on how consumers can actively shape their future. The campaign will also feature musical performances from the R&B sensation, Elle Varner.
AT&T 28 Days: Events and Locations
The campaign will kick off at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, Feb. 7, with keynote speaker Kevin Powell, a respected hip-hop commentator, activist, and author. The speaker series and concert tour will also include:
- Corvida Raven, tech guru, blogger and entrepreneur; Carolina Theatre; Wednesday, Feb. 13 in Durham, N.C.
- MC Lyte, hip-hop icon and pioneer female lyricist; Tabernacle Theater; Thursday, Feb. 21 in Atlanta, Ga.
- Jeff Johnson, social activist and political commentator; Millennium Centre; Wednesday, Feb. 27 in Detroit, Mich.

28 Days to Inspire: Photo Sharing Contest
This year, AT&T has introduced a photo sharing contest, “28 Days to Inspire,” encouraging consumers to share photos of their inspiring moments for a chance to win a grand prize. The contest will run throughout February, with all submissions judged based on creativity, uniqueness, and their relevance to Black History Month.
