22nd Annual 98.5 KLUC’s Chet Buchanan & The Morning Zoo Toy Drive: A Grand Success

As we step into the new year, we look back at the joy and warmth shared during the holiday season, especially by those who have made a significant impact on the community. The 22nd Annual 98.5 KLUC’s Chet Buchanan & The Morning Zoo Toy Drive was one such event that brought smiles to many faces, echoing the spirit of giving and love. This year, the drive concluded with a remarkable collection of gifts, ensuring a merry holiday season for children all around Las Vegas.

The much-anticipated toy drive wrapped up with an impressive collection. The Morning Show, featuring Chet, Lauren, Spence &; Showkiller, collected an astounding number of bikes, semi trucks full of toys, and a generous amount of gift cards and cash. All these gifts were then distributed to children who may not have otherwise received presents during the holiday season.

Chet Buchanan, the Morning Show DJ, stayed in a tent atop a thirty-foot scaffolding, braving the elements for Twelve Days of Toy Drive. Broadcasting live, he encouraged listeners to come down and donate. Over the years, Chet has dedicated a significant portion of his life to this noble cause.

Key donations came from various sources, including nightclubs, Walmart, celebrities, and sports personalities. The event also saw significant contributions from sponsors, individuals, and businesses the valley. Several celebrities from the entertainment, music, and sports world also donated or stopped by to show their support.

The toy drive was made possible thanks to sponsorships from numerous organizations. Following this huge event, CBS Radio is excited to announce that Chet, Lauren &; Spence, collectively known as Chet Buchanan & The Morning Zoo, have been resigned to a 3 year deal that will keep them a Las Vegas’ morning radio fixture.

98.5 KLUC’s Program Director, Cat Thomas, was full of praise for the show, stating, “When you have the most talented morning show in the market on the most listened to station, it only makes sense that we would do everything in our power to keep them on KLUC. The family atmosphere we have created here is due in a big part to Chet, Lauren, and Spence. I wouldn’t want to do this on a daily basis with anyone else.”
